Rotorua Highlights Tour
Travelling to Okere Falls (just an hours drive). Walk down through our native forest to the Grade 5 waterfall that is on the Kaituna River – you may be lucky enough to see some of our local rafters coming over the falls – its exciting to watch them come over – whether they stay in the raft or come out is the fun bit! You are welcome to stop for a bite to eat either for morning or afternoon tea at Okere Falls Store (at your own expense).
Next travel back into town and head out to 3 of our stunning lakes Blue Lake, Green Lake and Lake Tarawera. Stop at the lookout between the Blue and Green lake and take in the stunning colours of the lake, Blue lake is a lovely blue due to the pumice on the bottom thrown out from the eruption of Mt Tarawera and the Green Lake is a stunning emerald colour due to its sandy bottom.
